OUR SCHOLARSHIPS
The Focus of Our Efforts
Wakulla Academic Boosters stewards 53 different scholarships ranging from $600-$15,000. Initial endowments were made by local individuals and businesses who wanted to encourage students to continue their education and give back to their local community. The majority of these scholarships are restricted to Tallahassee Community College due to our funding covenants, however a limited number are available for other colleges. The Wakulla Academic Boosters Team works year round to increase scholarship offerings and funding.

Want to create a scholarship? Scholarships in any amount are a wonderful way to show that your business or organization supports student success. Scholarships can also be named in honor of an individual, as a memorial or tribute. The Wakulla Academic Boosters can help you create this legacy!
The WAB is the local leader in college and technical school scholarships for graduating high school seniors in Wakulla County. We are a homegrown, non-profit, philanthropic, volunteer organization dedicated to student success. We work to help dozens of students each year receive the financial support they need to complete their higher education goals.
ABOUT THE BOOSTERS
Wakulla Academic Boosters was founded by Walter C. Dodson Jr. and Judge Mike Carter in February of 1979 to promote academic excellence, recognize good scholarship and reward deserving students with scholarship assistance.
Today the Academic Boosters acts like a typical boosters organization for a sport-- except all Wakulla County students are on our team! We serve as stewards for the scholarships that have been endowed, and sponsor events that promote academic excellence.
SERVING STUDENTS IS WHAT WE DO!
